Riders Republic
THE AREA

Our chalets are based in the villages of Montorlin, Montchavin and Les Coches in the La Plagne resort, on the doorstep of the Vanoise Express cable car to Les Arcs. La Plagne and Les Arcs combine under a single lift pass as the Paradiski area, providing access to over 425km of piste. There ís terrain for every ability of rider, from greens and gentle blues for beginners, to wide motorway pistes for intermediates and some awesome off-piste for the more advanced. Some of the best runs and off-piste lines are on the Montchavin side of La Plagne. The Bellecote being well renowned for its descents.

Ski Club GB resort review...
La Plagne is the perfect ski destination with a long vertical drop, snow-sure high-altitude runs, and a sophisticated lift system (lift system absolutely superb – no queuing at all and more than enough terrain for a week). Wide-open motorway skiing above the treeline and gladed trails through the forest below it are the main features of the ski area. These are coupled with gentle beginner pistes and some truly outstanding off-piste, if you know where to find it. You need a guide to discover the long, sweeping descent from the Glacier de Bellecôte down to Les Bauches, as well as the challenging Cul du Nant run from the back of the glacier into the Champagny-le-Haut valley.

La Plagne

La Plagne stretches over 10,000 hectares with 133 pistes for all the piste bashers out there (225 km of Piste) and though heli drops are no longer allowed in France fans of the untouched powder can get their fix as outings are possible into Italy and beyond.

Paradiski

The Vanoise Express linking the two resorts is a feat of modern engineering connecting the ski areas of Les Arcs and La Plagne giving piste bashers over 400 km's of marked piste to play on. Each car has two decks, with a total capacity of 200 people. In just four minutes the cable car travels almost two kilometres from Les Coches (1,548 m) across to Peisey station (1,612 m) from our chalets this takes about fifteen minutes (door to door) taking you over the Ponthurin valley, 380 metres below, with a superb panoramic view of Mont Blanc, the surrounding Alps, and the Beaufortain range.
